The Israeli company ZORE have celebrated the shipping of 10,00 of their X Core pistol locks 10 months after they launched their rotary combination lock system. The X Core was initially launched back in February 2018 with a 9x19mm version of the locking device.
The system has a bullet-shaped chamber piece which goes into the firearm’s action and a combination lock which hands out of the right side of the pistol. It holds the weapon out of battery with the slide slightly back to indicate the pistol is unloaded. The company claims the system is the ‘world’s fastest locked-to-fire gun lock’ and have plans to introduce the system in other calibres in 2019.
Here’s ZORE’s statement on the milestone:
ZØRE, maker of the world’s fastest locked-to-fire gun lock, announced today shipment of their 10,000th ZORE X Core 9mm gun lock, just 10 months after bringing the unique technology to market. Bolstered by reviews from leading firearms publications as well as partnerships with industry leaders, including Brownells and OpticsPlanet, ZORE surpassed expectations and reached the milestone two months ahead of time.
“We started this journey with a completely new approach to locking firearms: rapid-access, non-biometric and portable,” said Bruno Escojido, CEO
