Survival Gear I Didn’t Need

It’s easy to assume that costly gear is enough to improve your situation. It’s just not always the truth. We live in an age where the internet is filled with “review” articles that do one thing more offensively than any other. These articles assume they know who you are better than, well, you do.

You see, survival gear can only be measured by the person using it. What is gold to one man could be trash to another. I own both a Condor three day assault pack and the Paratus three day operators pack by 3vgear. I have packed both of them and used them both on the road and in the woods. The versatility of the Paratus just makes it a better bag, for me and its cheaper.

I also hustled a high density, low temp sleeping back around for years. It was made by a high-level producer and it felt like I should be carrying it. However, it wasn’t long before I realized
